This 220 Grit whetstone is the fastest coarse stone we’ve found. It removes steel efficiently and dishes slowly. You will still need to use a truing stone after every 2-4 knives are sharpened, but it is minimal compared to other stones on the market.
When to use this stone
- Great for beginners looking to start and new edge on their very dull knife.
- Quick removal of steel, great for removing Nicks and chips off the edge.
- Removing Low spots on wide bevels with thinning a knife.
